Cork clock

Burnt cork

Jasper Morrison's Cork bowl is here reinterpreted by Studio Flavien Delbergue to become the Cork Clock. This transformation project is in line with the studio's approach, where he questions materials through simple transformations to achieve everyday objects. Here, the addition of a clock mechanism followed by a surface treatment - the cork is burnt and then lacquered - brings a new dimension, both poetic and functional, to this piece produced by Vitra.
